- <p> Starting a new job is nerve-racking enough, but if you're
- John F. Kennedy Jr., it can be a circus. The son of the late
- President was mobbed by the press last week on his first day at
- the Manhattan District Attorney's office. "This is
- embarrassing," said the novice assistant D.A., who was sworn in
- with 68 others. "I have to work with these people." He will
- earn $30,000 a year handling consumer-fraud and corruption
- cases. Before he settles into the job, he has had to clean up
- his own record. For one thing, he shelled out $2,357 for 62
- unpaid city parking tickets.
